Terrible
structures have been erected upon the skyline through which the sun must grin
on rising so that dawn and dusk have become times of tainted light and only
at noon when the rays fall directly on the streets can we see with clarity. Condemned
to this protection by our law we cannot wholly loathe imprisonment. We were
