mystery
of generations
it's
just that generational thing when
they
give you that look; that shake of the head
never able to value all the things you know,
the things you knew, the same things
they know now, only differently,
this passionate succession
of re-discoverers
just
like we were, and
our parents and theirs, and
theirs grasping, out of the blue, what
the others had always known. How we
managed it this far is a mystery of generations
but, they say, were here now, all will be good,
and
on it goes again, old man.
